There are so many moving parts in our lives, and adding a baby to the mix can increase the chaos to our breaking point. We love our babies but they can be quite unpredictable! Some of the time it’s simply because they want us; most of the time, it’s simply because they need us. They have no clue what’s going on in this foreign environment and we, their caregivers, are the only constants. Babywearing allows them to be comforted by that constant, by us, while allowing us to attend to the affairs of the day, be it meeting with friends, playing with our older children, or vacuuming the house. Instead of being distanced by our various needs and wants, babywearing allows us all to become closer.
